Sending the right message with the choice of images used in a brand solution matters a lot. It’s important to have visual material that signal your brand values. I mainly work with outdoors photography and natural lighting.

Photo Shoot | Princess of the Night Cactus
Princess of the Night is a large cactus that grows in Mexico. In these photos the cactus are about 2 stories tall. The blooming of the Princess of the Night is a precious moment to witness, as they only bloom at night and only one night per flower. The insect activity around the flowers in the early mornings is amazing.

Photo Shoot | Shee Casa & Garden
Shee Case is Mai’s private home in central Playa del Carmen. It is a local Mexican house with a beautiful garden filled with the ambiance of tropical plants. And depending on the season, you may witness the large “Princess of the Night” cactus trees in flower or enjoy fresh fruit from the Guava trees. Shee Casa is the frame within which Shee works, lives and creates! The Shee Casa project involved building the following from scratch: Table, desk, bathroom shelf, terrace shelves, kitchen table extension, terrace table. As well as interior design of the house, a lot of gardening and work with plants, and finally photography of it all.

Photo Shoot | A Pelican Study Los Frailes
A photo shoot of the amazing pelicans at the island Los Frailes off the coast of Isla de Margarita, Venezuela. What a fantastic adventure it was to spend the day with these prehistoric creatures and witness their feeding frenzy.

A travelers meetup in Malaga. Here a selection of photos from the shoot themed “CouchSurfer Portrait” initiated by Shee Visual Design. The aim was to portrait “regular” people from CouchSurfing vs. professional models, and also to simply have some fun with it. The shoot took place in the center of Málaga, Spain.

Photo Shoot | Surreal Worlds Art Exhibition
The expo “Surreal Worlds” presenting surreal landscape artwork and underwater photography by Mai Britt Hjemsted Karle went to Isla de Margarita off the cost of Venezuela under the name “Mundos Surrelistas”. The expo lasted around two months at the end of 2012.

The Om Posada project ran for a period of 9 months. The idea behind Om Posada was to create a spiritual community around a location where people could live together and share and corporate. It was aimed at people on a personal journey of self-development, creativity, yoga and searching for spirituality. Shee Visual Design was responsible for DIY projects, interior design as well as photography.

A Private Location to Focus on Your Project. Hora Feliz is a vacation rental in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. This shoot is from the outdoors areas, trying to capture the feel of the place. Focusing more on the concept of the place, rather than documenting the layout and look of the place.
